SapienceS2P: The Procure to Pay Specialist

Lovkesh Kapur, MD
According to reports, almost 425,000 companies in over 180 countries currently utilize SAP products to advance data management and enable better analysis and forecasting. However, many businesses still struggle to integrate these solutions with existing systems, which significantly increases their expenditure and adversely impacts critical business operations.

This is where SapienceS2P makes a world of difference. The company is an expert in optimizing new and existing systems, bespoke integration with all types and ages of other software, and is always looking for ways to improve both user experience and its clients’ ROI.

SapienceS2P is the first company to integrate SAP Ariba with an MS Teams and Slack chatbot and build an API-powered chatbot for SAP Ariba. It is also Silver Build partners with SAP and has architected its own RPA solution— RPAwesome—to help SAP Ariba users focus on meaningful tasks instead of repetitive work.

Although a household name today in the SAP procurement consultancy space, SapienceS2P’s journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to give the right advice to the client just at the start of the project. “We saw that the big names in the SAP consulting space were not approaching the clients’ problems correctly. So, we decided to do something different than the traditional consulting companies for addressing customer needs,” says Lovkesh Kapur, MD, SapienceS2P.

SapienceS2P initiated a two-week audit assessment to evaluate clients’ current procurement system and plan how their journey to the latest versions of SAP Ariba and S/4 Hana will look. As its popularity grew, the next years witnessed the company offering clients access to the latest cloud-based procurement and ERP solutions from SAP in a seamless manner.

SapienceS2P leverages the top talent in the digital procurement industry and relies on customer insights to create solutions for many digital procurement pain points. Each team created by the company for its clients is led by one of its top consultants, who have worked in digital procurement for two decades or more.
This is one of the main ways that the company adds value for its clients—by giving them access to some of the industry’s top talent. SapienceS2P’s development projects are another key method through which the company applies its expertise and effort to spot existing and potential market pain points.

By building applications to solve these problems, SapienceS2P can share its knowledge with more customers in a quicker manner vs. building each solution on a bespoke basis. A good example of this is SapienceS2P’s Satori and Roshi chatbots for Slack and MS Teams. They represent a mobile and speech recognition-friendly interface for SAP Ariba that requires few steps and little to no training to achieve a range of key procurement tasks.

To put things into perspective, one of SapienceS2P’s clients was struggling with a huge number of disparate non-SAP legacy systems. They were seeking a way to consolidate everything into one system while still keeping everything working. For this client, SapienceS2P came up with a plan that decommissioned their 70 legacy business systems and migrated all the relevant data to their new SAP Ariba and S/4 Hana software.

In a nutshell, by combining its agile business model and global reach, SapienceS2P can offer the best possible procurement system for every size and type of client. “We’re ready to meet today’s S2P and P2P needs, helping our customers build a stable procurement pathway that helps them meet their needs today and tomorrow,” concludes Kapur.
