To create standardized mobile solutions for enterprises, Evora IT leverages SAP Mobile Platform (SMP) for a variety of use cases. “For mobile plant maintenance and service processes with the requirement for offline capabilities, we utilize the SAP Work Manager and SAP Service Manager standard solutions,” notes Karthik Setty, Managing Director, Evora IT Solutions Holding.
Evora IT also offers scheduling solutions like EvoPlan, SAP Multi Resource Scheduling (MRS), and Click Schedule by ClickSoftware. “If the use case requires map integration and reporting functions in order to follow job progress as well as tight integration into SAP, EvoPlan is the right choice,” remarks Bartels. SAP MRS and ClickSchedule provide the resource planner with an intuitive graphical interface that contains information about open demands, resource utilization, and any conflicts with current resource planning. This true visual scheduling allows the planner to assign jobs to technicians to the minute. “The solutions offering this kind of planning, both manually and automatically, on a Gantt-chart are SAP MRS and ClickSchedule,” adds Bartels.
The technology solutions furnished by Evora IT are aimed at two things—evolution of customer processes and acting ‘rapidly on the leading edge of mobility. The name Evora IT was coined from these principles. The list of clients that Evora IT serves stand as a testimony to the company’s ability. In one of the cases, an international car manufacturer wanted a quicker way to use SAP functions on the shop floor. “We provided a custom HTML5 application based on SMP, allowing the technicians to quickly confirm the time spent on different jobs,” explains Bartels. Evora IT is now organizing workshops to optimize the next set of functions which requires an increased user experience.
Evora IT has invested a lot in innovation for their satisfying and efficient solutions. One of their next innovations will be to strengthen the SAP Work Manager with Smart Meter capabilities. “We are also looking at the future mobile inter¬faces to HANA in the cloud,” says Bartels.
