CIOREVIEW >> Sap >> AutomationUI

AutomationUI has been recognized by CIOReview Magazine as the recipient of “Top SAP Solution Provider 2025,” based on our proprietary methodology, reflecting its position in the industry. This profile has been developed by the CIOReview research and editorial team based on insights from an interview with Francisco Morales, Global Director.

AutomationUI
For Intelligent, Lean, Simplified ERP Implementations

AutomationUI

Francisco Morales, Global Director
The SAP ecosystem has been undergoing a significant transformation for nearly a decade and in recent years, that transformation has only accelerated. This shift is driven by modular cloud offerings, AI-powered tools like SAP Joule, and a growing push for ecosystem collaboration. Enterprises are now at crossroads, rethinking how they should adopt and scale their ERP systems. Implementation is no longer just about going live; it’s about delivering speed, agility, and long-term value with minimal disruption.

AutomationUI is rightly positioned at this inflection point to meet the moment. It is bringing new meaning to enterprise collaboration by embracing a bold shift toward ecosystem-driven delivery, transforming services into scalable solutions while also pioneering real-time AI innovations through the latest SAP Joule. The mission is to simplify complexity, amplify impact, and future-proof digital transformation.

By prioritizing speed, efficiency, and measurable client outcomes, AutomationUI has earned a reputation for challenging traditional consulting norms and has established itself as a firm that truly “walks the talk” in SAP transformation. Also, well-recognized across the SAP ecosystem for delivering real results, its portfolio centers on SAP’s Cloud ERP offerings, specifically SAP S/4HANA Cloud—now known as SAP ERP Cloud (Public/ Private)—setting a new pace for what transformation can and should look like.

Mario Videla, Global Managing Partner
But AutomationUI doesn’t just do it alone. Since transformation doesn’t happen in isolation, the company emphasizes on collaboration—working hand-in-hand with SAP solution teams, certified development partners, and clients. Together, they build, refine, and deploy modular components that extend SAP’s native functionality.

The goal is to build an ecosystem where innovation is shared and outcomes are amplified for itself, customers, and partners alike. For example, at the recent Sapphire event in Orlando, AutomationUI focused on building new relationships and strengthening its partner network. This approach enables the firm to collaborate more effectively as a unified group, delivering seamless integrations, validated best practices, and faster go-lives.

That same collaborative mindset drives how AutomationUI serves clients across the broad.

“Our servicing cornerstone is that we put our customers in a position where they request a solution based on their needs, and we take care of everything else. They just come back to test the solution, that’s it,” says Francisco Morales. “This service delivery reflects our end-to-end approach and relentless customer focus.”

From Complexity to Clarity

AutomationUI has refined a methodology that automates up to 80 percent of greenfield SAP implementations, delivering faster projects, leaner teams, and stronger outcomes. By leading with a technology-first approach, clients eliminate redundancies, reduce infrastructure costs, and elevate the user experience.

With a sharp focus on speed and simplicity, AutomationUI brings together tailored accelerators, advanced technologies, and industry-specific playbooks to help clients go live in weeks—not months. It has developed guided onboarding workflows and pre-built templates that significantly cut down manual effort while boosting adoption across departments.

Our ambition is clear: to become the reference for SAP Cloud ERP and Business AI adoption across the midmarket segment. We believe technology should be simple, powerful, and human-centered and that’s exactly what we deliver

Whether supporting a fast-growing midsize company or a global enterprise, the firm’s approach ensures every solution is right-sized to the client's unique scale and complexity. This adaptability is key to delivering efficient ERP rollouts and real business results.

The firm isn’t just focused on fast delivery—it’s built to evolve.

Responding to Change

In response to SAP’s post-Sapphire updates, which redefined how cloud solutions are packaged, sold, and positioned, AutomationUI has simplified its quoting process, focusing on what's important to the client, their culture and future vision, and thus defining the best solution for their business in weeks, without having to go through extensive and invasive presentation processes. This way, we not only add value to our clients from day one, but also leverage the full value of SAP's integrated solutions and best practices.

Stronger Together

AutomationUI builds relationships organically and with intent, engaging only when there's a mutual connection. The sales team leads with listening, not persuasion, aligning with the client’s vision from the very first conversation.

“Our servicing cornerstone is that we put our customers in a position where they request a solution based on their needs, and we take care of everything else. They just come back to test the solution, that’s it. This reflects our end-to-end approach and relentless customer focus”

Once a client relationship is established, AutomationUI runs a focused session to define requirements and then moves to implementation. Clients are brought back in for testing and feedback, and once aligned, the firm moves swiftly to final testing and go-live. Issues are resolved collaboratively to ensure the solution lands smoothly— with minimal disruption. Deployment is then handed off to the implementation team for execution.

More than a vendor, AutomationUI positions itself as a partner, becoming an extension of their team. It’s this approach that has earned the company recognition well beyond project outcomes.

Recognition That Reflects Real Impact

Earlier this year, AutomationUI received two SAP awards: the SAP Latin America and Caribbean South Award for Partner Excellence in RISE (now known as Cloud ERP Private) for leading the region in RISE project sales and the 2024 Partner Excellence Award for the SAP S/4HANA Customer Evolution Program for its strength in helping clients adopt SAP and continuously supporting and evolving their use of the platform. These awards reflect the firm’s proficiency in delivering real, lasting impact and position it among the top-performing SAP partners in South America.

One recent instance that illustrates this commitment in action: AutomationUI was working with a manufacturing company whose employees were bogged down by time-consuming service entry sheets each month. Instead of just delivering a standard implementation, the firm used SAP’s native functionality to create a tailored solution that automated the process, significantly reducing manual effort. As a result, employees could redirect their time toward higher-value, strategic work, boosting both efficiency and morale.

“We measure success by how much value our clients gain while spending less. We always focus on the most efficient, cost-effective path forward, because when our clients win, we all win,” says Morales.
The number one reason clients continue to work with AutomationUI is trust. Client feedback remains consistently positive, and referrals now account for over 35 percent of new business. Clients often act as the firm’s best salespeople, sharing their positive experiences and attesting to AutomationUI’s reliability and exceptional service.

Bringing AI to ERP

Business AI is the latest layer in AutomationUI’s evolution. Today, the firm is among the few SAP partners actively integrating SAP Joule—SAP’s embedded generative AI assistant (essentially ChatGPT embedded into SAP ERP)— into client environments. By enabling natural language access to real-time ERP data, Joule transforms how users interact with business systems, surfacing intelligent, context-aware insights on command.

From automating forecasts and supply chain workflows to enhancing HR and financial processes, AutomationUI is already deploying real-world use cases. Its team focuses on smart configuration, governance, and enablement, ensuring clients see real value from day one. For leaders, that means faster decisions; for users, higher productivity and less manual work.

Next Phase of Evolution

Until now, AutomationUI has bundled software and services. Now, it’s unbundling key services into standalone, productized offerings, allowing other ecosystem partners to use them for long-term impact. This shift, rolling out in the coming months, marks a major milestone in the firm’s evolution.

Geographically, AutomationUI is expanding to all of America, among the main countries that we can highlight are: Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia and Mexico and it already has real plans to enter Europe—starting with Spain and Ireland.

With its disruptive business model and cutting-edge technology platforms, AutomationUI can serve its global customers without geographic restrictions, delivering direct value to all customers and staying true to its message: "More important than being close, is being always present."

A key priority in our growth strategy is to deepen and accelerate collaboration with the entire SAP ecosystem, we not only want to offer the best solutions to our customers, but we also want the entire SAP partner ecosystem to grow exponentially, which is why we make our sales force, pre-sales and consulting available to them so that they can offer our solutions in all their business opportunities and with that accelerate the adoption of SAP Cloud ERP, this covers SAP installed base customers as well as new customers, the objective is clear, more business closures in less time and all this in order to generate exponential growth for the entire ecosystem of partners and SAP solutions, rewriting history and making it clear that volume business models are 100% viable in our ecosystem, if we generate value alliances, more than products.

This partner network expands AutomationUI’s delivery capabilities and creates value-added synergies across the implementation lifecycle, enabling consistent, scalable solutions across regions.

“Our ambition is clear: to become the reference for SAP Cloud ERP and Business AI adoption across the midmarket segment,” says Morales. “We believe technology should be simple, powerful, and human-centered and that’s exactly what we deliver.”

Deep Dive

Making SAP Cloud ERP More Accessible

SAP Cloud ERP programs often become difficult to defend before implementation begins. Midmarket companies encounter long consulting estimates, broad license packages and development work priced beyond the original business case. Internal teams then face a second problem. They must support the project while continuing to maintain the processes the new system is supposed to replace. Implementation speed deserves close examination, but a shorter schedule alone is not enough. Buyers need to understand which activities have been standardized, how much preparation is required before kickoff and where customer-specific work can alter the timeline. A provider that promises rapid delivery without controlling scope may simply shift unfinished decisions into the post-launch period. The stronger model reduces repetitive configuration work while preserving enough review to prevent avoidable rework. “AutomationUI combines its public edition accelerator with license-rightsizing and independently available services that reduce the cost barrier for midmarket companies.” Public cloud adoption also changes the role of customization. SAP Cloud ERP Public Edition is built around standardized processes, making it less tolerant of years of local code and inherited exceptions. Providers must distinguish between a requirement that protects a real business condition and a preference carried over from the previous system. Excessive customization raises cost and maintenance effort. Rigid standardization can create workarounds that weaken adoption after launch. License planning creates a separate source of waste. User counts are often based on loose role definitions or projected demand that may not materialize for several years. Commercial incentives can compound the problem by encouraging a larger initial purchase than the organization requires. Buyers should expect role-based license mapping, realistic usage assumptions and a clear process for revisiting those decisions as the company grows. Post-launch use now matters more than migration completion. An ERP program has limited value when purchased functions remain unused or routine reporting requests return to long development queues. Providers should be judged on how they support adoption and how quickly they can handle practical changes once the system is live. Reusable services and AI-assisted development can shorten report or add-on work that would otherwise depend on lengthy ABAP coding, provided the provider maintains clear controls over quality and access. Commercial structure deserves similar attention. Large bundled engagements can force smaller companies to buy services before the need is clear. Independently available offerings give buyers more control over initial spending and allow them to add support as use expands. They also make provider comparison easier because implementation work and follow-on development can be assessed separately. AutomationUI is well aligned with companies that want SAP Cloud ERP Public Edition without accepting a conventional implementation cycle or an oversized service package. Its delivery model centers on an accelerator designed to automate much of the implementation process and support compressed go-live schedules. AutomationUI combines its public edition accelerator with license-rightsizing and independently available services that reduce the cost barrier for midmarket companies. Its AI-assisted development approach also targets reports and add-ons that would otherwise require extended ABAP work. AutomationUI’s model addresses the cost and adoption pressures that most often weaken midmarket SAP programs....Read more
